My 2021 work in glass is supported by Creative Scotland's Open Fund. It will adopt a combination of processes including photography, screen-printing and painting to produce unique design pieces. I derive my inspiration from photographing the elements present in my local Hebridean landscapes. Details are translated into the medium of glass using a range of methods. I plan to also incorporate physical elements from the landscape, be that metal or minerals. I draw on my photographic training and experience as an Expedition Photographer in the Antarctic, where the unique shapes, tones and forms from the world of ice have influenced the design process for my artistic work.
